Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about working with a public adjuster and what to expect from Empire Claims.

A public adjuster is a state-licensed professional who represents you — the property owner — rather than the insurance company. We inspect the damage, put together the documentation your claim needs, and handle the negotiation with your insurer directly.

You, exclusively. Your insurance company already has an adjuster working to protect its bottom line. Empire Claims exists solely to represent your side of the claim.

As soon as possible after damage happens, and ideally before you sign or accept anything from your insurer. That said, it's not too late to call us if your claim is already open, was recently denied, or feels underpaid.

Residential and commercial property claims of all kinds — hurricane, wind and storm, water, fire and smoke, roof, freeze, and claims that were already denied or underpaid.

We work on contingency. There's no upfront cost to hire us, and we only get paid a percentage of what we recover for you — if we don't recover more, you don't owe us a fee.

Often, yes. We regularly review denied and underpaid claims to see whether there's a legitimate path to reopen the case or dispute the settlement you were offered.

It depends on the size and complexity of the loss. What we can promise is that we'll keep you informed at every stage and keep pushing your claim forward.

Yes. Empire Claims is a licensed public adjusting firm operating under Florida law.
